[RWP] a few questions working with a live recording of a band

I apologize if this email seems a bit lengthy
I am currently mastering a multitrack project of which I recorded my band playing around 15 songs.
I'm almost finished but have some remaining questions
1. if I have applied a gate on my vocal track then have that track split in to items e.g each song, can I remove the gate from one of those items?
if so how?
2. I'm wanting to side chain the snare track to bring down or close the vocal gate during the parts with no singing, (I have eliminated much of the background)
I want to use the side chain with a compressor on the snare to react to the vocal gate
I understand I have to create track sends or receives but seen to be having trouble just choosing one track send or receive depending on which way I'm starting from.
3. sense I recording the whole band but have each song split as an item, how can I mix the individual tracks with each items in to a separate song/project for rendering?
I would like to have each song separate.
