Kevin, there is the action Set Pan for Selected Track(s)
and also set Volume for selected track(s).
Press F4, then in the edit field, type set pan; then tab down to action
list; just below the various types of actions and you should have Set
Pan to Selected tracks or maybe need to arrow down a little to find
exactly that action.
Once you're arrowed onto it, tab down to the field where you assign a
shortcut.
If there is already a shortcut, you will read it in the field where you
assign shortcuts.
If you try to assign a shortcut that's already in use, you'll be
notified that you've typed an already assigned shortcut, and asked
whether to use it anyway.
Once you have a shortcut assigned, you can press OK, if I remember
correctly, or exit, or try out the action right there in the action
assignment dialog before exiting.
Then type set volume in that edit box, which is a search box, and assign
Set volume of selected tracks, same method of assigning a shortcut to
set volume for selected tracks.
Use whatever method you now use to select a number of contiguous tracks.
I just hold ctrl+shift and arrow from track 1 to the last track, then
let go of ctrl+shift and it seems to select the desired tracks.
Remember, though, that I've been obsessed with electric guitars for
months now, so haven't used Reaper's actions much, so please verify
before believing this info is accurate, okay?
