[RWP] poise

I just looked in the sfz spec and you can generate random values for many different parameters, tuning, region playback, etc.
So they don't call it round robin but I think you can simulate this sort of behavior in the sfz format.
You can certainly make velocity layers as deep as you like to trigger multiple samples.
And polyphony goes all the way to 255 so you won't ever run out of notes and re-trigger.
Sfz will load in to ram, or disk stream.

Round robin plays a completely different sample. This way, you can have 3 or 4 snare hits that trigger randomly, giving the kit a more realistic sound.

Is round robbin triggering an entirely different sample, or a repeat of the same sample without re-triggering it?
I have played with the envelope generators for the tails of samples not to cut off so snares and such sound more natural, and also assigned snares to different keys with slightly altered samples to make drums sound more realistic.

Session drummer 3 can do Round Robbin, so either the sfz spec itself has
that capability, or session drummer itself modifies the spec to do this.
Some of the higher end kits that you can buy such as the Neal Peart kit
takes advantage of this.
