[RWP] poise

It is hugely powerful and he just keeps improving it.

Glad you know about it, then it won't be new to you.

Of course screen scraping and positional information is apt to change when the screen or window gets resized, that's the weakness of using cordinate based navigation, but ahk can also call program controls directly, so if you have those exposed in the api, you can use that with ahk.

Good idea Chris. Autohotkey might be a good helper. I've used it a tiny bit before. Lets keep it in mind.

YOu know what Shannon, if your listening in, autohotkey may be a perfect helper tool for this app.

It allows mouse movement and macro actions and menus and hotkeys and hotstrings to be created, like if you needed to click on a pad with a hotkey with the mouse you could do it, and it activates that script by the window title.

I did sessiondrummer 3 with this thing and it's great, and non screenreader dependant, even sighted folks really dig this utility, it wasn't made for us, but it sure has helped us a lot.

The macro recorder doesn't work well with screen-readers,
so I've had to hand code stuff, but it's easy for a sighted person to record macro actions in a hurry.

This might be easier than trying to re-design the whole interface for just a few people.

I know as the fledgling programmer I am how much that's asking,
once you've used a certain tool to make a synth, and then having to start from scratch to make it accessible.

Autohotkey could really be a good bridging utility.

      Atleast for now.

Has anyone tried using OCR to see if we can at least click on certain things? I am running jaws for Windows 14. Has anyone had any luck using OCR and loading sounds onto pads?
I'm just trying to see if I can get the most out of this update until the next version is available.
I do believe Shannon is going to complete the work at some point, he is just busy with other projects at the moment. That is totally understandable. I'm just trying to see if I can poke around and accidentally make something happen that could hold us over until the next version comes. I'm also poking around to see if there's any more information that I can give him that might help him figure out exactly what we need.
