Well, in Reaper 32 bit; with Wineyes, Jaws, and NVDA; I've always
assumed we have 2 views; the track view with the tracks, of course, and
the effects routing view; where I load new effects, find the effects
parameters at the tab key and edit boxes at the arrow keys; plus I get
the native interface of the VST plug in effects routing view.
When my wife looks at the monitor while I'm trying to find buttons and
such on a plugs interface; she clicks on the same coordinates with her
physical mouse as I do with Wineyes numberPad mouse.
I can't really do much locating of graphical buttons with NVDA, so rely
on Wineyes for that.
I believe I could probably find graphical buttons with Jaws also; since
its PC cursor and jaws cursor at the numPad are very similar to what
Wineyes sees there.
I just haven't had enough experience with it to make it quick for me.
This is all true with ReaAccess loaded,of course.
When my sighted son runs Reaper, without ReaAccess, he sees only a
single vieww, with tracks and the plugin's interface on the same screen,
and has no idea what I'm talking about when I refer to track view or
effects routing view.
Maybe this is what you are referring to when you say that a plug's
screen is always on top?
ReaAccess is splitting the views into track and effects view for me.
In 64 bit Reaper, with NVDA; I get those same track and effects views.
No version of Window-Eyes that I've tried has run any version of 64 bit
Reaper so far, so can't speak about that.
