the zoon setting is adjusted with the numpad + and - keys.
if you're using Jaws , issue a pass key thru command (JawsKey+3 on the upper 
row) before the numpad + or -.
Control+Shift+Pgup and Control+Shift+Pgdn automatically select by measure.
Shift+pgup/pgdn select by beat
