[RWP] the cbars and beats copy and paste functions do not work!! please help!!

hey every one thank you for your help and patients in helping me with my arrangement problems after running some tests I now know what the problem is in the first test i selected some bars of audio cut them then moved to where i wanted to paste them reaaccess spoke all the actions i performed correctly and reaper carried out the actions with out a problem.

for my second test i selected some bars of audio i wanted to copy and moved to where i wanted to paste them reaaccess spoke all the actions I performed correctly and reaper selected the bars but it did not copy or paste them. does any one know what the problem is? am i doing some thing wrong? or is it a reaper issue? 

your help with this problem would be most welcome kind regards trahern.
