[RWP] Possibly a little OT: Reaper and Metranome?

Hi there folks. I'm sorry if this is considered off topic (it probably
is,) but I am trying to edit a song. The only problem is, I can't seem
to get the metronome to sync up with the song properly. Its not a live
song, so it is followine a fairly consistent tempo. Is there anything
I could try and do to get the metranome more on target?
Finally, the keys for changing speed in Reaaccess don't actually seem
to do that. I'm attemtping to line up a second vocal track with the
first one. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
