Patrick, First, I uninstalled every trace of Reaper 64 on this Windows 7
64 machine, then I went to my XP 32 bit daw, and copied the 32 bit
Reaper plugIns folder to a thumb drive.
Then I went back to the Windows 7 64 bit machine and installed Reaper
4.25 32 bit.
Then I went to program Files X86, Reaper, and deleted the plugIns
folder, and replaced it with the PlugIns folder from the working 32 bit
Reaper.
Okay, when I opened the 32 bit Reaper, now running in a 64 bit
environment; which actually almost runs on Window-Eyes 7.5.2 without
crashing.
Although I hear the word ReaAccess as Reaper loads, I'm not getting
the words No Track Found at the arrow keys, and pressing F12 is not
bringing up the ReaAccess learning mode, nor do I find any other
evidence that ReaAccess is running.
Instead of getting a track view, I get pixels per minute, I think it is,
with up and down arrows, and a track timeline in percentages with left
and right arrows; although no track is inserted yet.
When I press the tab key, I hear No Tracks Found, which I never got at
the tab key before.
And yet, when I try to install ReaAccess, I get the error message that
some components are missing, to open and close Reaper, which, of course,
I have already done.
This is both encouraging and discouraging.
Previously, with 64 bit Reaper installed in Win7 64, I could open Reaper
64 with Window-Eyes 7.5.3 or later, and could navigate around it freely,
but without ReaAccess.
As soon as I installed ReaAccess, Wineyes tries to load 2 instances of
Reaper 64, and freezes, with the message Reaper is not responding, close
program.
.Here I am half way running Reaper with Wineyes 64; and at least hearing
the words ReaAccess as it opens, without crashing, and yet ReaAccess
doesn't seem to be really there, and won't install.
I tried running that same installation of 32 bit Reaper in Win7 64 with
NVDA, and also ReaAccess does not seem to be installed, also get the
same some components not found message; when I try to install ReaAccess.
Previously NVDA would run 64 bit Reaper with ReaAccess present.
Should I have installed the 64 bit version of Reaper 4.25 instead of the
32 bit Reaper 4.25; then replaced its PlugIns folder with the Plugins
folder from the working 32 bit Reaper?
I do have some 3x versions of Reaper, or can find them in the Cockos
archives.
What do you think, should I try a 32 bit 3.78 version in Win7 64, and
replace its PlugIns folder, or maybe try an early 64 bit Reaper, or what?
Something I did is not working for either NVDA or Wineyes.
Thanks,
Indigo L
