When you have put the check mardk on use as a midi controller, or
similar words, within the midi configuration dialog, then press enter on
okay, you get the word enabled shown after the name of your controller.
But, you're aren't finished yet.
Tab down to the bottom of the list at midi device and also press enter
on apply, okay to save the settings.
Then you will immediately return to track view, and your controller
should send midi messages.
