[RWP] Using a midi keyboard also as a controller in Reaper3.78

Hi,

I have a CME VX5 that I use via USB to play synths and my Motif ES Rack.

This keyboard has also sliders and programmable buttons and pads, and I 
want to use them, for example, to toggle the record button, change 
volumes and parameters, but I don't know how to do it in Reaper3.

I go in preferences, midi devices, right click on the CME VX input, 
enable, right click again, configure, and then I enable something like 
"use for control messages".

but, if after all these steps I try to move a controller in the "add 
shortcut" dialog into the actions window, it doesn't recognize the 
slider, I press "ok" but it remains on that dialog.

Probably I do something wrong, but... what?
