I was confronted with files in .daa format, and I'd struggled with
PowerIso before to open some less usual formats, but discovered
WinArchiver, at:
www.winarchiver.com
and it's a joy to use.
It supports 57 formats, is very intuitive at every step of using it,
runs from the arrow keys, has standard menus, and displays all info,
including progress report, at the number pad cursor.
It's a 30 day trial, don't yet know what it costs, or what happens after
30 days, but, compared to other powerful unpackers, it's a total
pleasure to use.
I just unpacked the .daa format into .zip files, then used my usual
7zip to unzip the files.
WinArchiver also does the virtual drive thing, if you want.
I'll continue to keep 7zip and Winrar, but here's another handy utility
that's really accessible.
