hay there, Daniel
so I'm using loopdyMidi1.
here are the steps i found to get reaper and qws working.
1. open up qws.
,2. press alt+o, hero down untill you here Ports, or press p.
3. you should be in a list with midi in, and midi out.
what ever midi software cable you've got installed, make sure that in
the midi in secsion, the name of your midi cable is unchecked.
if not, it will cause your computer to lock up.
for example i'm using loopy1, so it should look something like this.
Ports
MIDI devices
MIDI IN devices
LoopBe Internal MIDI
the Use this port box, is not checked
4. now if you aero down to the midi out port, the name of your midi
cable box should be checked.
5. load a vst instrmant in reaper, and set the track Properties in qws
to the port of your midi software cable.
also on your computer, go to the start minu. in the search box type
icons,an choose Remove icons from notification area (system tray) on the
desktop
in there, you can set your midi cable to show up on the system tray.
hopes this helps.
