A few more words on getting started:
Make sure your midi keyboard is enabled in options preferences, ctrl+P.
This might require using the PC cursor, or whatever procedure gets focus
on the name of your keyboard and the word disabled, which you right
click to bring up the configuration dialog.
In the configuration dialog, Place a check to use this device as your
midi keyboard, then okay.

Select a track with up down arrow.
Rewind to beginning of a file is W, or home key.
The letter R begins recording on an armed track.
To arm a track for recording, in track view, tab to arm recording,
select on with your spacebar, then hit enter to save track options settings.
Play a recording with the spacebar.

David, Roy and I; and many others, will try to help as best we can; as
issues arise.
