Hey,
Jayce here from the UK. I'm a relative newb to the ways of Reaper and
even more of a newb to mailing lists, so please forgive any social
blunders! :)
I'm running Windows 7 64, and until now have been running Reaper x64.
There are a few plugs I need to use for a current project that don't
have 64-bit distributions, and I couldn't get anything useful out of
them in terms of accessibility running them bridged in x64. I
installed the 32-bit version of Reaper, as I read they'll coexist
happily, but couldn't seem to get ReaAccess to work in that second
copy of Reaper on the same system. The obvious solution seemed to be
to uninstall Reaper x64, have 32-bit Reaper as the only DAW installed
and see if I have any more luck without bridging. Here's where it gets
interesting. After uninstalling both versions, cleaning up files and
reg keys that were left behind, the ReaAccess installer now won't get
any further than "some components are missing", no matter which
version of Reaper I install. I've tried running Reaper as the
installer suggests (both versions), and used CCleaner and some manual
detective work to remove any obvious traces of previous installs. No
luck so far..
Can anybody suggest what to try next? Sucks to be locked out of Reaper
mid way through a project :(
Thanks much,
Jayce
