Little old me hiding back in good old XP, with a 3.8ghz second
generation i7 2600.
8 gigs ram; but XP only addresses 3 gigs.
I hear it all through the inaccessible but spunning sounding eMu 1616M
P S I E soundcard.
I find any version of Reaper runs equally well; with Roy Shtupler's
ctrl+up arrow workAround; to let Application key context menu display in
Reaper 4x versions.
No monitors; just a pair of inexpensive Sony featherweight headphones,
that don't exaggerate bass like closed headphones will.
I'm slowly adding control surfaces, Edirol PCR-300, Behringer BCF2000,
M-Audio Trigger Finger, soon an ancient Kawai MM16 midi mixer.
Besides Reaper, I use Sonar 8.5.3 for matrix view, and Reason 6.5 for
its amazing sounds.
Soon will add Sound Forge as external editor in Reaper.
I'm getting equally at home in Wineyes and NVDA, and learning Jaws 12.
