Actually if you can afford the extra cost the MACKIE 820i mixer chris bell is always going on about may be a better option. If i understand correctly from when i was looking at that series, send your audio back to the board, then set your inputs in a recording app to record that stereo pair of channels. no accessible or inaccessible software/control panel to deal with. Just a thought.
