Hi list
I'm Alvin, a bit of a short time lurker on the list. :) Here's some free
audio software info I found via Wikipedia along with a few questions of
my own. I don't know about most of these programs, but maybe
some of you all might. Shed light if you do. I'm still a novice at this
when it comes to music creating and recording. :)
I've used Audacity, Studio Recorder, and I am now giving Reaper a try.
I do quite a bit of vocal recording as well as looping and mixing with
already existing MP3 audio files on my computer.
I use my G.E. 4 in 1 headset with microphone for recording vocals.
I am running Windows XP Home SP3 and Jaws 8 on a HP Laptop. I'm looking
into getting a new computer since I've had this one for about 7 plus
years now.
I also have a Casio WK 200 keyboard I am planning on hooking up pretty
soon via USB. Any suggestions from the more experienced users of Reaper
or music producers in general? :)
A quick question, will a lot of the plug ins that work with a particular
audio program such as audacity work with reaper? I have some installed
such as
the free VST plug ins (multi chorus) from the audacity website and
forums. Can I use them in reaper, or is it best to use the ones already
in the Reaper program?
Thanks for any info and guidance you can provide me.
God bless and have a great week.
