[RWP] New audio gear any thoughts?

My wife has the presonus audiobox usb.
It's accessible, mostly knobs, but the control pannel is simple and you can
get to the latency slider I think you have to mouse click to get focus.
Carey, if you want the best experience with an accessible interface, then my
recommendation is with any of the mackie onyx i series mixers.
the little 820i clocks in at 4 hundred dollars, but there are no menus, and
you get a lot of i-o and routing hands on.
Some of the focus rite stuff has been hot-spotted with hsc, but I think they
broke that with some driver upgrades.
Unless you got eyes around, and can easily get help making changes though,
do yourself a favor and get the mackie, the only difference in the lesser
mackie's is you only get two returns back from the daw, and some differences
in eq type and amounts of mic pres and such, but they all share much of the
same good stuff.
YOu can route effects through the aux sends using the daw too, like reverbs
and delays so you can use reaper to use the effects you like and use them
like external insert boxes.
If you really want control surface functions, your out of luci.
But the mackie pared with the bcf or one of the others you mentioned would
be a great combo
I'm generally not a big fan of the behringer stuff, build quallity and such,
but I do own a little mixer that's held up resonably well, though I have ti
jiggle plugs and such.
The mackie's built like a tank.
Good luck.
