when you set the start and end points, you must then split the item. once
the item is split, you can use your typical control left or right arrows to
select the item and then loop it.
You can use control shift left or right arrow to select the item as well,
then paste it anywhere in the track as many times as you need for the loop.
When you split the item, if it is a piece of audio within a longer section,
you should get three items created...the material before the selected
material, the selected material itself, and the remaining audio after the
item you want to loop. At least, this is how I've done it before...there are
probably several different ways to accomplish the same thing.
