[RWP] bypassing a track effect for certain items, is it possible?

Others who know more about this than I can say things here, as I'm still 
using Reaper 3.x, but as I understand it, automation, if you don't have 
a control surface, is pretty well broken. Even with a control surface, 
I'm not sure how easy it is to change/edit automated events after the fact.
