The ctrl+up arrow workAround  to force menus to display in Reaper 
versions 4 onwards is a Reaper shortcut for Reaper dockProperty Page.

It works like this:

ctrl+up arrow for  mixer VU.
ctrl+down arrow for Mixer dialog.
ctrl+down arrow once more for  track view.
ctrl+down arrow once more for time Line.

I don't believe this should keep us from using ctrl+up arrow to force 
menus to display after pressing the applications key, it's just 
interesting, and explains why I sometimes got the mixer VU meter options 
menu, instead of the extended track options menu I was trying to get.

I only discovered this because version 4.21 speaks more in some places 
than my old version 3.78 did, where I only heard Custom Control after 
pressing ctrl+up arrow.
