Alex, if you want to record your Tyros drum track in midi, and you have
connected your Tyros to your midi interface with either USB or midi
cables, just insert a track in Reaper with ctrl+T, name it whatever
Tyros drums,.
In track view, track properties tab down and set record mode to input;
set output to your Tyros, set record armed on; set monitor normal
Press enter to save settings.
You should be able to hear your Tyros drum track.
With your midi track selected, press R to begin recording on your midi
track.
You should get a midi track recorded.
You can then record an audio track like this.
Insert a track with ctrl+T, name it something, I call mine Audio.
With the audio track selected, in track view, tab down through its track
properties and set its record mode to input; set output to none; set
monitor to normal; set record armed on; but before recording your audio
track don't forget to set your midi track to armed off, press enter to
save settings.
Arrow to your midi track, press I for IO Routing dialog, and set a send
to your audio track.
Now, since Reaper's default is to record audio in mono, and you want a
stereo audio track, arrow to your audio track, press ctrl+up arrow to
unlock the applications menu.
Press the Applications key and its menu will display.
Arrow down and you will find a check mark next to Record Mode input, but
that means it will record in the default mono, so continue to arrow down
until you find Input Stereo, press enter on it, press enter on okay.
Now, with your audio track selected, press R and a stereo audio
recording will begin on your audio track.
