Hi Kevin,
It's great to hear from a System Access user.
I've tried to look at ReaAccess with Window-Eyes, Jawsand NVDA, but
don't own System Access.
If you don't mind, I'll post any tipsyou discover; to a proposed wikki
style guide to ReaAccess, once the website is ready for use.
Your method of setting track levels is exactly the same as what I've
been using in Window-eyes, and it does work, but may not be the most
direct method.
; I've been working like this:
while a track is selected; bring up that track's first item with
ctrl+right arrow, then find that item's options at the tab key, with, as
you say, both item and take options in that same list.
Press enter to save settings.
But, I just learned that those same item edits are available at the
standard Reaper Item Edit menu, press altand arrow right to the fifth
submenu.
The Item Edit menu has a long list of powerful options.
quantize submenu is there, a sub folder with a long list of
quantization options, and other useful edits.
You and I have been displaying part of the Item Edit menu with the
ctrl+right arrow method.
Have you tried this?
After selecting a track, bring up that track's first item with
ctrl+right arrow; then press the applications key, and another
interesting menu will display at your arrow keys.
I don't know if; in System Access; you're having the same problem
getting menus to appear as with Jaws, Wineyes and NVDA.
From Reaper version 4 onwards, menus don't display from pressing the
applications key.
Roy found a cure, press ctrl+up arrow, then press the applications key
then the menu displays.
From now on, I think I'm going to try shortcuts to bring up the whole
Item Edit menu, and use shortcuts in it to bring up the same actions
there, which may be a quicker and more direct method.
cheers,
Indigo L
