[RWP] Midi Editing

In Reaper, transmitting program change and bank from a control surface
might not be easier than changing it manually in ReaAccess.
Since I wrote last, Jim, I found that changing patch/bank in a midi
track is a cinch in Reaper.
You just select the track with up down arrows, hit control+enter to open
the Midi Edit pane, and the very first event on the time line has
program change, in a list that begins with none, then 0 to 128, to get the
track to play any of the standard GM instrument sounds.
Apparently, 0 to 128 is offered because some synths recognize 1 to 127
and others recognize 0 to 126.
You simply arrow up down to the instrument program you want played by
the track; then hit escape, there's no okay button.
Holding control while right arrowing takes you to the next midi
ieventalong the time line.
A note event has the note with its name, and you tab down for a list
of octaves in which that note appears.
While on the note name, you just arrow up or down to change the note,
same with its octave, just arrow up or down to transpose the note by
octaves.
Continue tabbing down for note on, note length and velocity, with edit boxes
Escape to return to track view.
That may not compete with Cubase or Sonar for detailed midi editing,
but it sure is intuitive and easy.
