[RWP] Strange behavior with editing items in Reaper 4.25

Hi,

I am working on a project that needs editing, and now I'm experiencing 
some issues.
1. When I select an item to delete, after pressing the Delete key the 
item will be removed, but also all later items will be moved backwards. 
That means, the item that was next to the item that I've deleted will be 
moved into the position of the deleted item. Very iritating, because I 
wish to just delete an item, keeping all later items in their old place.
2. When I copy the item, after moving the cursor to another measure 
where I'd like to pasted, the item will be pasted into a desired place, 
but it will no longer be into the place from where I copied it. In other 
words, control + c (Copy) behaves like control + x (Cut).
I've tried resetting Reaper to factory settings, even uninstalling it 
completely. However, it seams that this problem is related to only one 
project, the one that I'm working on.
So, any idea what's messed up in my rpp file? This project is very 
urgent work, and these problems just slow me down! Nothing found that 
describes this behavior in the user guide.
