Thanks, Kevin.
I'm curious, but System Access would need to have real advantages over
Window-Eyes and NVDA to invest cash into it.
I always use NVDA for email in Mozilla Thunderbird, and sometimes run
Wineyes and sometimes NVDA for surfing.
This particular machine runs both about equally fast.
If there's something I can't get to in a website, I just shut down the 1
an open the other, usually without causing any change of position in the
website.
I tried Jaws 9 and 13 demo for a while, just for curiosity, but Jaws
didn't seem as quick or easy as Wineyes or NVDA. and in Reaper Jaws ran
almost exactly like Wineyes, no particular advantage I could find; at
least with my limited Jaws skills
It's the huge library of scripts that gives Jaws its advantages.
In Windows 7 64 NVDA actually reads a few settings that Wineyes
doessn't see at all, like in the RealTech HD Audio Center.
I think it's absolutely shameful that Window-Eyes to this day doesn't
read even a tiny fraction of the graphics included in Windows itself.
In Win7 System Restore i have a difficult time locating the graphic to
set a restore point.
It is a topic in Win7 control panel, but it seems reluctant to display.
In XP, the words restore point appear and are clickable on the Wineyes
numPad screen, but; in Win7 64; there's no speaking set restore point
graphic for either Wineyes or NVDA
Someday maybe we will have a perfect screenreader, but not so far, in my
experience.
I'll take a test drive of System Access.
