Press escape to make sure you are in track mode.
To record on only the intended track, arrow to that track and use the 
tab key to find and then turn record armed on, with the spacebar.

Arrow to tracks you don't want to record and use tab key to rfind record 
armed and turn it off with the spacebar.
Always press enter after configuring tracks to save your settings for 
that particular track.
