[RWP] How to select input source for each track?

Hello,
I think there was a small discussion on this several months ago but I
think with Reaper 4.14 there is a real problem selecting the input
source for a track i.e. MIDI, Stereo, Mono etc.
ReaAccess used to allow to open a context menu on a track to do this.
Now it just indicates that it is unable to find a handle.
Intermediately there was a work around with some ctrl-tab or shift-tab
procedure but this doesn't appear to work anymore.
How do you guys manage to select your input source?
