[RWP] Very simple question

I will try Reaper 4.x, maybe small calculation errors are fixed.
You know, I get as many tips from www.gearslutz.com now as from Cockos
forums.
All kinds of refugees from ProTools, Cubase, whatever, to Reaper are
there, some now running commercial studios based on Reaper.
I find many of the same problems i encounter, like getting reliable
seamless loops.
Maybe I should not record my loops in midi at all, but directly in audio
in Sound Forge.
I don't remember a way to preset recording length in Sound Forge, but
I'll bet it's there.
It's not that I don't know how to trim loops, I got that down many years
ago, it just shouldn't ever be required if the software is doing its job
2 measures is 2 measures, not even 1 sample more or less.
When I get the perfect 2 measure midi loop that repeats seamlessly, then
render it to .wav, there's a gapbetween repeats that wasn't there in the
midi loop.
That should never happen.
Computers are supposed to be perfect counting devices.
That's their strength.
If they can't get the sum right, we may as well go back to counting on
our fingers and toes. smile.
Thanks,
Indigo L
