[RWP] setting a USB input?

I have asio installed, but I can't seem to get it to function as I think it
is supposed to.
It seems to be tied to a creative audigy soundcard that was in the machine
at one point, but that I have taken out long ago.
I get a CST creative devices error or something similar when I try to select
any of the asio related drivers in the audio device input/output lists in
reaper.
Shrug.
And I'm not likely to jump on the apple band wagon quite yet.
Regards
Colin
