[RWP] Stutter edits and chopping up audio verry finly in reaper?

Splitting a track is easy enough.
Just select the track wwith up/down arrows, select the track item you 
want to split with ctrl+shift+right arrow.
Then, move the cursor to the measure, beat, etcetera, where you want to 
  split the item, and press the letter S.
You now have 2 items, 1 before the split and item 2; beginning after the 
split.
You can select either of these items and split it again with the same 
method, into as small increments as you like.
There probably is an automated script somewhere in the Cockos forums to 
accomplish this without work, google for 
Cockos..split..item..automatically..
