I've noticed that midi files seem to be at the end of the file after
they are inserted.
Press W to rewind to the beginning of the file, then press spacebar to play.
You know that you must provide a sound engine for the midi files to
feed; or you will hear nothing?
In track view; arrow to the track with the midi file; then tab down to
midi output.
Use the arrow keys to set their midi output to your midi keyboard, or to
a soft synth that you have inserted, or even to Microsoft's default soft
synth.
Press enter to save settings and return to track view.
