Alexander, I can tell you how I make a midi track from my Yamaha MM6,
which should work for your Tyros:
1. Insert a track with ctrl+t.
2. set the track properties at the tab key like this:
All channels; armed on; record mode input; midi output to your Tyros.
For my MM6, while tabbed to midi output; I need to arrow up to find MM6.
3. press enter to save the track properties you just set.
Then there's another step:
1. I press ctrl+right arrow as if there was a recorded item, even though
there is no item yet.
This keeps me from getting the wrong menu at the next step.
You can experiment to learn if you need this step with ctrl+right arrow
or not to get the correct menu.
2. Then I press ctrl+up arrow. This is Roy's fix to unlock the
applications menu so it will display.
3. Then I press the applications key, and a menu beginning with the word
Monitor should appear.
If you get a menu that says Jump to something, that's the wrong menu.
4. Arrow up to Input Midi.
5. Press enter.
If you hear okay, press enter again.

Here's what you just did:
You armed the track, set its midi out to go back to your Tyros, so you
can hear it play back, set its input to record input, and told reaper
that the input is midi.
Now press R and play something, press R or spacebar to stop recording.
Press the W key then spacebar, and you should hear the same thing you
just played.
If the Tyros is transmitting and receiving on the same midi channel
there should be no problem.
If anyone knows a simpler method, please tell us.
