[RWP] reaper running slow

one more comment:
The only instances when reaper begins to run slow for me is on the net book when I have four tracks open, and each track has at least 2 realtime effects processes going on...that is 8 realtime effects processes, as well as at least one master track process.
In this case, reaper runs slow, and the audio begins to fragment and skip and jitter allot...I can crash the machine if I use 3 processes per track and two on the master track...
This is on an acer  1.7GHZ, 1GB of ram and 160GB HD netbook though, so I am in no way surprised at it's limitations.
On my 2.8GHZ del desktop with 512MB of ram and a 40GB hard drive, I can easily get 4 or 5 realtime processes running per track, and still edit and quickly navigate and start and stop audio without any lagging or noticeable slowing.
So, if you are using a machine that is at least equivalent to my desktop as per specs, then you should have no issues unless there is a windows or hardware issue slowing the entire machine down.

  indigo has good suggestions.
  reaper is one of the fastest DAWS i've ever used, so if it's lagging that badly, it's more than likely a computer hardware/software issue.
  You could try uninstalling reaper and ReaAccess and reinstalling again to see if that helps as well...

    hay there, don’t know if its just the computer or reaper, but when I arrow up an down tracks response is very slow, also happens when searching thru reaper plug ins any help?
