[RWP] tap tempo

yep, pretty useless over all.
It's not anything like a real tap tempo function on a drum machine or something.
I suspect it is useful for establishing an initial tempo for a project or something where you are creating something from scratch and you have that tempo in your head.

Regards
Colin

  Subject: [RWP] tap tempo

I've noticed this for months now, but never thought to say anything about it.

Does anyone else find reaper's tap tempo to be incredibly useless? It seems to only take into account the last two presses of the key, rather than averaging them all out to get a proper BPM reading. I'm aware there are other ways of doing it, but I just thought I'd ask.
For anyone curious, I use a piece of software called Mix Meister BPM analyzer, which does the job nicely. Although lately I usually just estimate the tempo and figure it out with experimentation.

  Simon
