I read about snap to grid in Reaper's features, but I can't find a
shortcut to snap an audio file to grid, or for a midi file either.
Alt+L displays the grid, which does me no good, but nowhere is snap to
grid mentioned in ReaAccess shortcuts, maybe I missed it.
There is a mention in the Cockos forums about dragging the mouse across
the timeline and clicking on something in the toolbar, I hope that
feature wasn't left out of ReaAccess.
You can quantize midi, no mention of audio quantization.
I experimented with setting the audio to assume the project's tempo,
didn't seem to want to.
I tapped tempo with the H key, but I couldn't get it right onto the
beat, maybe because latency is too great on this old machine.
I got the metronome right on the audio track's beat several times, but
nothing made it lock to the beat and not drift away that I can find.
Shift+5 and Shift+6 sure can do some serious slowing and speeding of the
audio file's rate, but preserve pitch breaks down after it gets really
fast and it's Alvin and the chip monks all over again! smile.
