I don't know, is that the infamous failure to drop the applications menu
in Reaper versions after version 4?
If I press ctrl+up arrow, I hear a message that I'm in mixer properties,
I believe it is.
After pressing ctrl+up arrow, try pressing down arrow a couple of times
and tell me what you hear?
. but pressing ctrl+up arrow once, somehow fixes the access problem to
the applications key menu.
But, if I'm on a track item with ctrl+right arrow, sometimes I hit
ctrl+up arrow and wait a little too long to press the applications key,
and get an entirely different menu than the one I expect for item settings.
Do you remember that old song The Lost Chord, where the musician
discovers a strange and beautiful chord, but doesn't know how he got
there, so is never able to find his way back?
Sometimes I feel like that in Reaper.
It's a labyrinth, with many doors leading to many places.
I did discover a while back that I was inventing shortcuts to
unneccessarily cause parts of the standard item submenu to display, when
I could get at all those same settings in 1 long list; from the standard
item submenu.
I think it's in Reaper Quick Start that they say right click everything,
you never know what you might get.
Same with invented shortcuts, we might open a door to The Secret Garden,
with all kinds of hitherto undiscovered features in there. smile.
