Hi Michael
Welcome to the list.

ReaAccess gives an access window in Reaper with tracks you can arrow
to, plus a whole keyboard full of useful shortcuts.
Install ReaAccess and you get a choice of which screenreaders you want
supported.
To learn the uses of the keyboard shortcuts, press the F12 key to get
learning mode,.
The single keys and key combinations will then speak theirr actions
without the actions being carried out.
Press f12 again to discontinue learning mode and return the keyboard
keys to their normal functions.
ReaAccess makes a few changes from standard Reaper, like just arrow up
and down to go to and select tracks, not control+up/down arrow, as in
standard Reaper.
ReaAccess also reverses the functions of R and Control+R.
In ReaAccess, press R to begin recording and Control+R to loop a selection.
In track view, when you arrow to a track to select it, each press of
your tab key will speak the various track properties, record armed
status, recording mode, mute, solo status, midi channel, etcetera.
Also, while arrowed to a track, you can press the letter I to open the
IO Routing Dialog, where you assign that track's sends, receives, midi
channel and several other functions.

In my free time I record my own concerts or those of friends and colleagues. My equipment is currently a white macbook with Mac OSX 10.6.8 and windows 7 32-Bits on bootcamp. I'm working with magix Samplitude that is unfortunately getting more and more inaccessible in its further development. Now I'm thinking of testing reaper and after reading some very interesting things concerning accessibility I would like to know, what reaaccess does exactly do after installing. On the website there was only this package for downloading without any further information about being a script for jaws, Window-Eyes or any other screenreader. I want to use it in combination with reaper version 4, but first of all I would like to know a little more about the reaaaccess software. I apologize if this is a stupid question, or if I
didN't read something importing visiting the website, but any help would be very appreciated.
