[RWP] i get to apparently break reaper

it is nvda, one of the later versions, this happened with other
versions of nvda though i'm almost sure version doesn't matter because
it happened with so many of them.
it is windows xp 32 bit.
i'm thinking it is a reaper problem because as i described other sound
apps still run just fine.
is there something that will stop the sound if it gets too high, so
the only solution is to ctrl-f4 and reload from the last save point or
start over if none exist?
there's got to be a better way to retrieve the sound than this though.
one would think stopping the file and starting playback would work,
though it doesn't.
the only guaranteed way is to close that tab and reopen it from
savepoint or beginning.
