[RWP] Recording midi to audio

Hi list,
Is that possible to record a midi file and turn it to audio? To explain 
better I would like to take a midi file I have and convert it to wav 
without using vst but a midi input like for example roland. Maybe it's 
easy but what I tried didn't work, and I kept getting midi data recorded.
