[RWP] Time display

Hey, you reaper experts. How do you get reaper to display the times for the edit cursor, and for the time selection?

In the thirty seconds I actually get to play with reaper each month, I have been working on a few simple jaws scripts to make life a bit easier. AT one time, I had it displaying the record and playback time on my braille display. You could see the time change while recording, or as you arrowed around in the project. That lead to a hot key to speak the current time.
And, there were also hot keys for speaking the time selection start, end and length, and for flipping your cursor back and forth between the start and end of a time selection, plus keys to nudge the left or right ends of the selection. These worked wonderfully, until I somehow reconfigured the UI to not show those times. They were there, in MBT or in hour minute second format. But, not any more.
Highly customizeable user interfaces are the bane of every accessibility developer. It's what makes stuff stop working. It's why your results definitely, will, vary.
I can find the handle of the window that used to contain that information, but it is obscured, but I'm not sure hot to tell for sure what is obscuring it. My tools indicate that it is the lower portion of the track list window that exists at that screen location. , but I only have one track in my test project.
The mixer is closed. Anyway, any ideas what to try would be most welcome.
I want my time fields back!
