[RWP] PRESSING TAB SEEMS TO BREAK THINGS

i wrote about this once before and don't think anyone responded.
it appears that hitting the tab key breaks things, the last thing i hear
is "midi output" pressing tab again says nothing, also, other keys
appear broken, both reaper and reaccess keys.
i can't even enter training mode to hear key functions.
is something broken here or am i broken?
