[RWP] Looping MIDI items in Reaper

Hello guys,
While I do like Reaper a lot, sometimes I feel like I spend too much 
time on simple things that should be obvious and should work. For 
example, how would one go about looping MIDI items?
1. I recorded a passage on a MIDI keyboard.
2. I selected loop start and loop end time.
3. Made sure that item is "loop on" in the Item Properties.
4. Doublechecked that Loop points are linked to time selection under 
"options".
When I play the item, it doesn't loop. Moreover, there seems to be no 
option to make it loop with a single keystroke.

Any takers?
