[RWP] routing the metronome in reaper?

The metronome in Reaper is audio, not midi, far as I know. Maybe you can get a plugin that replaces the metronome and integrates with Reaper's time/beat/tempo information that may be a bit more flexible. In Sonar, you have the option of using the audio engine, or a midi output, but I've never seen anything like that in Reaper, not even for routing the metronome to a separate audio output than the one that the master track uses. That would even be useful, provided your audio interface has multiple routable physical outputs on it.
