Hello Kelly,
In many ways Reaper makes working with bits of audio much easier than
Sonar or Sound Forge. Here are some notes:
1. Press F12 which puts you into "key learn" mode; F12 again to exit.
2. Press SHIFT+F1 to generate a list of built-in shortcut keys. It may
take a couple of seconds the first time around as the list will be
generated automatically.
3. ReaAccess comes with a Readme that lists many of the shortcuts you need.
Once you are done with recording, Reaper will create what's known as
"items"; they're kind of clips in Sonar. You can move item by item with
control+arrow keys. Select with control+shift+arrow keys.
As you can imagine, you can perform all kind of context menus on
selected items.
Use left and right arrow keys to scrub/move through the file.
I hope this gets you started!
