Hello all,
Well, dive to options > Preferences > General then Project and you will be surprised that Reaper can keep & restore all project states at any time (past save) if you'll setup it properly...

Undo is my best friend.
I think levels of undo are stored all the way back to the point where the project was last saved.

David, are you trying to hear the two items on a single track at the same time?
Or, are you trying to avoid that.
I managed to achieve that today, but didn't mean to. I was looking for how to avoid it.
BTW, have you guys ever accidentally bumped the delete key?
, if no item is selected, Bingo, there goes the whole track.
No confirmation dialog or anything. I found that very surprising.

1 How do you select and move a portion of a track or tracks. In Sonar it is easy to select a number of tracks and nudge them where you like.
2 I still haven't found an answer to my problem of layering items and hearing them at the same time on a single track. I'm sure its very obvious but I just can't find that magic check box.
