[RWP] Suggestions on Auditioning Midi Files in Reaper

I have a big collection of midi files, and I used to audition them 
with Winamp, but, for some reason it doesn't play midi files now.
I thought I'd audition midi files in Reaper instead.
I don't have a GM synth, and most GM synths don't sound that great, 
in my experience.
Is a decent-sounding generic GM synth included with Reaper, or, does 
anyone have a suggestion as to a decent-sounding GM synth?
I also wondered if I could somehow direct Reaper to use my onboard 
sound chip's GM synth when auditioning Midi files, so I don't need to 
find a separate GM synth.
How would I do that?
