[RWP] capturing midi performance from a virtual instrument

hi all
suppose I use Groove Agent 3 or BroomStick Bass; these vsts send out midi notes as they generate their patterns.
how do I capture this midi data in Reaper.
after inserting them, haven't found any reference to these instruments's virtual midi in.
any ideas greatly appreciated.
