lol is that all you did.
slightly different ways of doing things yes, and often fairly convoluted.
Unfortunately, convoluted by necesity due to the sheer quantity of user 
functionality in reaper, that must be accessed via ReaAccess.
However, the nice part is, once you locate common areas like the I/O screen 
and understand how it all works, you can accomplish much more.
